FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and can be used for removal of cataracts of various density. Tunnel cut is formed, viscous lastic is inserted and anterior capsulorexis is performed. Then central part of crystalline lens nucleus is exposed by moving aside outer layers of lens by stratula, fracture and emulcification of central part are performed. Remaining part of crystalline lens is emulcificated in sectors. Application of the technique allows for preventing break of Zinn zonule fibres and damage to posterior capsule with falling out of vitreous humour, retaining capsule sac intact for intracapsular fixation of intraocular lens, protecting cornea endothelium from mechanical and irrigational injury and reducing total amount of used ultrasound.
EFFECT: reduced loss of endothelial cells and lower probability of post-operative dystrophic cornea complications during cataractomy.
