FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to powdered metallurgy, particularly to sintered frictional materials on iron base. It can be used in braking assemblies. The frictional material on iron base contains, mass.%: copper 5.0-7.0; graphite 4.0-5.0; asbestos 3.5-4.5; silicon carbide 4.0-6.0; sulphuric iron 0.5-1.0; metallurgical slag 5.0-7.0; iron constitutes the remaining percentage. This material possesses high wear resistance.
EFFECT: producing wear resistant material on iron base.
