SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of power conversion in a rotary screw machines incorporating the first and the second set of coupled external and internal elements spaced apart along the central axis and furnished with internal/external profile surfaces. In rotary motion of internal and/or external elements, between the said elements working chambers are formed. The said working chambers move axially. The rotary motion of the aforesaid various sets is timed so that a synchronous and in-phase motions feature a different value of angular oscillation period of the working chamber axial motion. Thus, the working medium transferred by the said chambers can be either compressed or expanded. The proper timing allows optimising the machine operation.
EFFECT: optimisation of the rotary screw volumetric machine efficiency.
