FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power plants with a drive engine, a drive engine cooling system incorporating a heat carrier circuit, a cooling device with a coupled fan, the fan being driven by the drive engine. As distinct from known designs, a controlled or adjustable coupling is arranged between the drive engine and the fan. Here note that the said coupling is a fluid coupling made up of a primary and secondary wheels forming a working chamber to be filled with working medium. The working medium feed system operates in phase with the said coupling and can influence the coupling transmission ratio.
EFFECT: lower time lag of the power plant with the drive engine in response to varying cooling demand.
