FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: method of repair of the diesel engine fuel injecting pump wherein a discarded plunger pair is reused after its recovery consists in production and processing of repair parts. For this, a set of interrelated repair part processing operations includes the following steps, i.e. production of repair parts from discarded high-pressure pump section plunger and plunger pair bush by fitting sealing plugs into the plunger and sleeve distribution channels, arrangement of an additional check valve in the said section overplunger channel, connection of the overvalve space by an additional high-pressure line with the overplunger space of the other pump section of the two-section pump under repair, arrangement and attachment of the first pump section plunger in the phase position wherein the plunger head unworn sections get matching the sleeve filling openings, formation of a set of repair parts from the other pump section plunger and plunger sleeve by arrangement of sealing plugs into the plunger shut-off channel and filling channels of the sleeve, arrangement of an additional union-displacer in the second pump section overplunger sleeve channel and connection of the line from the first pump section to the said union, production of the third repair part from the pump crankshaft by placing a ring on the cam ledge interacting with the second plunger pair plunger follower, the said ring being made in the form of a smooth ring with outer diameter making the second plunger pair distribution groove align with the sleeve distribution opening in the minimum drag position, adjustment of the fuel feed amount and timing the fuel feed beginning by the second pump station unions and, respectively, by varying the first plunger pair metering unit axial position the second plunger phase position relative to the second plunger pair sleeve distribution openings.

EFFECT: diesel engine fuel injecting pump longer life.
