FIELD: security facilities.
SUBSTANCE: flak jacket armour protection includes front and back armour elements. The back armour element is made of multi-layer ballistic fabric polygon with a fastening edging. The front armour element is made of a chest and trunk armour panels. The chest armour panel represents a curvilinear trapezium with rounded angles, with convex outside and asymmetric relative to its vertical and horizontal axes. The trunk armour panel represents a rectangle with convex outside and is arranged overlapped relative to the chest armour panel. The area of every front and back element (Sbe, dm2) is calculated from the expression Sbe=Sv.o.p.a. ×fdr, where Sv.o.p.a. is the vital organ protection projection area, dm2, and fdr is the dimensional ratio factor determined proceeding from anthropological peculiarities of a person and making 1.1 to 1.2.
EFFECT: armour protection smaller weight without losing protection properties.
