FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to the technology of machine building and particularly to processing spherical surfaces by surface plastic deformation. The head has an individual actuator with a spindle, a case with a deforming element, and a screwed coil spring for self-centralising of the deforming element. The case has at least three deforming elements, made with a tail and fitted on the spindle by the above mentioned screwed coil spring. One end of the screwed coil spring is wound on the tail of the case, and the other end is wound on the spindle. The deforming elements are made in form of cylindrical insert elements, on which the spherical working parts providing for contact with the processed spherical surface are fitted off-centre. The deforming elements are made with provision for regulation in the longitudinal and radial directions.
EFFECT: high quality and accuracy of processing spherical work pieces by surface plastic deformation.
