FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to the abrasive processing and can be used in making abrasive instruments, in particular, for two-sided surface grinding of thin-walled objects in the automobile and bearing industry. The grinding wheel is made in form of a case with a broken working surface, formed by projections and depressions, uniformly located on the frontal working surface of the grinding wheel, with an undercut. The depressions are half-closed with an input, located on the side of the centre of the wheel, and are formed by two flat lateral surfaces, perpendicular the frontal working surface of the grinding wheel, closed by part and bottom, coinciding with a plane, passing at a tangent to the undercut of the grinding wheel. On the frontal working surface of the grinding wheel, there is a circular groove with thickness B1=0,12 B, where B is the thickness of the frontal working surface of the grinding wheel. The groove is at a distance from the periphery of the grinding wheel, sufficient for its automatic adjustment during operation. The closed part of the depression is linked to the circular groove. As a result, the quality and output of processing is increased due to efficient and uniform distribution of the coolant-cutting fluid in the cutting zone.
EFFECT: higher quality and output of abrasive machining.
