FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: helicopter contains a propulsion engine and a rotor with a vertical shaft accommodating an even number of blades but not less than four of them. The helicopter comprises also a coupling device acting as a transmission in the propulsion engine operating conditions, while in the starting engine operating conditions it works as an overrunning clutch. Every other rotor blade features a specially-designed shortened length and incorporates one or several elementary starting engines running, for example, on solid fuel.
EFFECT: higher safety in emergency landing.
