FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for production and operation of single-screw pump designed for a pressurised transportation and proportioning of various media in chemical, food, construction and other industries. The single-screw pump incorporates a stator housing a rotor linked with the cardan and drive shaft by means of hinges accommodating the cardan shaft trunnions isolated from ambient medium by prefabricated protective diaphragms. Every hinge contains two semi-casing attached in pairs to the cardan shaft trunnions bearing supports. The protective diaphragms represent an elastomer coating enveloping the trunnions and the hinge entire outer surface. The hinges are attached to the rotor and drive shaft by easily detachable hexagon couplings. Improved sealing of the hinges increases the cardan shaft bearings service life and allows transportation of inflammable and explosive chemical media. Also they make assembly/disassembly jobs more easier.
EFFECT: longer life of cardan shaft trunnion bearings, transportation of inflammable and explosive chemical media with no harm to ambient medium.
