VOICE MODULATION DEVICE AND TECHNIQUE Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC G10L21/00

Abstract RU 2333546 C2

FIELD: communications.

SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to the method and device for voice modulation for use in voice communication devices, such as wired and wireless telephones, for modifying the voice by modifying the height of the fundamental tone of the voice. The voice modulation device consists of: an LPC analyser for obtaining coefficients of the vocal track filter, reflecting characteristics of the input voice signal; a device for picking out the height of the fundamental tone for determining the height of the fundamental tone and the sex identity of the voice signal; a modulator for the fundamental tone for modulating the voice signal by multiplying the given value of the height of the fundamental tone, picked up by the device for picking out the height of the fundamental tone; a coder for coding the input signal from the LPC analyser and a modulator of the height of the fundamental tone and for outputting the coded signal. In accordance with the voice modulation technique, the device for picking out the height of the fundamental tone determines the sex identity and the height of the fundamental tone of the input voice signal, and the modulator of the height of the fundamental tone multiplies the determined value on the given value of the voice modulation.

EFFECT: provision for applying the function of identifying the caller on their voice and thereby protecting the person being called.
