FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to electrical engineering, particularly to making inductor coils for pulsed high voltage electrical equipment. The proposed inductor coil has series of spiral turns of metallic current conducting wires or bands, made from a gate metal or its alloy, with an insulation coating, formed by micro-arc oxidation of its surface. During oxidation, the wire or band is wound on a mandrel, made from dielectric material.
EFFECT: making an inductor coil with such insulation coatings, which are not damaged by breakdown between neighbouring turns or layers.
