FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for production of inductance coils for high-voltage electrical equipment, low-voltage power transformers, transformers of distribution networks. Method involves formation of insulating coating on a conductor by micro arc oxidation (MAO). Conductor is passed through electrolyte in which is placed an electrode, to which is fed alternating voltage, wherein method uses two baths, volume of which is filled with electrolyte, in each of which there is an electrode connected to an AC voltage source. Conductor is passed successively through electrolyte of both baths, wherein voltage and time of passing conductor through electrolyte is selected to match required thickness of formed coating in absence of its degradation, wherein matching is carried out with respect to a portion of conductor located in electrolyte, and for rest of conductor there is no exposure to oxidising action.
EFFECT: higher resistance to electric breakdown of obtained coating, possibility of passing conductor through an electrolyte, avoiding need for anode contact of conductor during MAO, achieving elasticity of formed coating, resistance thereof to effects on bending and stretching of article, on which coating is formed, achieving homogeneity of coating thickness of entire surface of conductor, achieving structural homogeneity of coating on entire surface of conductor.
