FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: thermionic converter (TC) contains two cathodes, separated by vacuum gap and implemented with ability of thermionic emission and grid spaced above surface patch of one of cathode, not shield by other cathode. For elimination of grid current grid can be fenced off from cathodes by electrically insulating. For receiving of alternating current cathodes are heated till the beginning of thermionic emission into vacuum gap, at that alternating control voltage is supplied between grid and the last of mentioned cathodes, in consequence of it between cathodes it is created alternating current field, which leads to cathodes recharge by electronic current and to appearance between them alternating voltage, which is converter output voltage.
EFFECT: increasing of converter of heat energy into alternating-current electric power coefficient of efficiency.
