FIELD: electricity; engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: electric motor includes a stator with the polar tips in the form of segments and an armature with tappet winding, connected to the commutator with diametrical brushes. The latter are placed at an angle to the normal neutral plane equal to half the angle and, concluded between the adjacent edges of the segments of the polar tips. For guaranteeing the reverse brush unit can be executed with an opportunity of turning against the direction of rotation of the armature on an angle α. The construction makes it possible to forego the application of excitation winding for the creation of the basic magnetic field.

EFFECT: reduction in the consumption of expensive winding material; labour expense for production; increase in the specific power of the machine and improvement in the operational characteristics.
