FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: rolling mill includes roller frame with two pairs of rolls forming four-roll gauge, with adjoining roll axes positioned in mutually perpendicular planes, universal spindle couplings tilted at 22.5 grad angle to the drive roll axis, pinion stands with pinion axes tilted at 45 grad angle to the roll axes. Pinion stands are connected to electric engine by intermediary shafts.
EFFECT: improved technological scope due to application of multiroll gauges with simple and durable roller frame and roll drive construction.
