FIELD: technological processes; mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves continuous rotation of a wheel mounted on table of gear cutter, reciprocal movement of rack with rectilinear/cutting edges along the wheel gears, leading the rack in tangential direction to the wheel and shifting it away at the reversal. The wheel is a technological device with prismatic element blanks installed and fixed in grooves of the wheel at even angular pace, with setting by rear and side end surface. Then the device is mounted and tested on the gear cutter table, with further mechanical processing of blanks. Plate springs can be installed in the device grooves.
EFFECT: increased production rate of plunger involute gear elements.
