SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy and can be used for fabrication of cold worked tools. Steel contains, mass %: carbon 0.4-0.6; silicon 0.8-1.2; manganese 8.0-12.0; chromium 6.0-8.0; vanadium 1.8-2.2; zirconium 0.2-0.4; nitrogen 0.1-0.2; boron 0.2-0.4; calcium 0.005-0.01; tantalum 0.2-0.4; titanium 0.8-1.2; copper 0.8-1.2; cobalt 0.8-1.2; tellurium 0.0002-0.0004; iron - the rest. Hardness of steel after heat treatment is 63-65 HPC.
EFFECT: upgraded hardness of steel after heat treatment.
