FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to communication equipment and may be used in systems of mobile communication. Device and method include reception of signal from basic station and performance of fast Fourier transform of accepted signal; generation of PN code for comparison with PN code of basic station, which is contained in signal; and detection of cell, in which mobile station is located, with the help of PN code search synchronised with FFT-processes signal using generated PN code.
EFFECT: possibility to initiate session of communication in system of multiple access with orthogonal frequency distribution of channels.
