FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: atmospheric lidar is intended for: by the first version, in differential absorption mode, for distance measurement of various atmospheric pollution parameters; and by the second version, in Doppler shift measurement mode, for wind velocity measurement. Lidar contains optical arrangement identical for both variants. Arrangement includes combined reflecting telescope, laser radiation formation and coupling system, laser frequency control unit, clock system and receipt system of scattered, object reflected radiation with photodetector array. For each version lidar has its signal processing block and registration unit.

EFFECT: higher range and extended performance.
