FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: fuel pellets are obtained by baking of uranium dioxide UO2-containing material produced from powder obtained by conversion of uranium hexafluoride UF6. Powder obtained directly by conversion of uranium hexafluoride UF6 is placed into a container with free bodies for compaction and stirring, and the container is shaken, so that the powder shifts on container volume along three non-coplanar axes to get compressed between free bodies and container walls until dispersed material of higher density in comparison to the powder obtained by conversion is obtained. Dispersed material obtained directly by stirring in the container is applied in forming raw fuel pellets subject to baking.
EFFECT: simplified method of obtaining dispersed material containing uranium dioxide.
