FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to uranium hexafluoride processing process technology and implementation device. Method of uranium hexafluoride processing into uranium oxide and anhydrous hydrogen fluoride involves generation of water vapor plasma flow by several electric arc plasmatrons, arranged symmetrically along plasma reactor cover horizontal section circumference at angle to each other, introduction of uranium hexafluoride into water vapor plasma flow along plasma reactor axis from top to bottom, mixing and high-temperature reaction of uranium hexafluoride and water steam plasma stream, reduction of reacting water steam plasma flow in plasma reactor housing upper part by gaseous nitrogen tangential flow, maintaining reactor inner wall temperature of 300-400 °C, after interaction completion two-phase uranium oxide and hydrogen fluoride flow cooling in water-cooled gas-dynamic nozzle to temperature of 150-200 °C, separation of disperse uranium oxide and gaseous phase in successively installed metal fabric and metal-ceramic filters, discharge of dispersed uranium oxide, condensation of gaseous phase and recovery of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride and azeotrope using condenser and fractionation column.

EFFECT: invention provides efficient production of uranium oxide with high mono-dispersity and low impurity fluorine content and increased fluorine output into hydrogen fluoride.
