FIELD: construction, road.
SUBSTANCE: in the rail joint, connected rail ends are made with truncation of both rail ends under sharp angle to their longitudinal axis and laid on two adjacent sleepers connected together into single piece with couplings. Joint components are made in the form of locking members mounted at equal intervals throughout connector surface of joint which length is determined by formula and ends of which are laid on two adjacent sleepers. Locking members consist of two parts: first part in the form of central bolt is rigidly connected with one of the rails and the second part in the form of balls with springs and base plate is pivotally connected with the second rail with possibility of longitudinal motion for one rail relative to the other. At that, hollow for central bolt in the second rail is made elongated.
EFFECT: expanding of technical possibilities and improvement of rail joint performance.
