FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in production of tight nickel-cadmium accumulators. The proposed method comprises assembling a stack of electrode plates with separating negative and positive electrodes by a separation material, fitting assembly into the accumulator casing, filling in the electrolyte and effecting the formation of charge-discharge cycles. Note that in every formation cycle, the charge is effected at the voltage varying from 1.56 V to 1.58 V while that of the discharge making to 1 V. note also that the accumulator formation is implemented by six charge-discharge cycles during which the electrolyte is topped up, its level and concentration being kept invariable.
EFFECT: shorter accumulator formation time, larger capacity and longer life.
