SUBSTANCE: invention concerns communication technology. To achieve the objective, the device includes two separate receivers related to two different radio communication technologies, and multimode channel selection circuit. First and second receivers are simultaneously receiving first signal via first channel and second signal via second channel respectively. Then multimode channel selection circuit obtains information on first cell selection from the first signal and information on second cell selection from the second signal, and further selects appropriate channel to be set, according to the first and second cell selection information. The method involves receiving first and second signals via simultaneously operating receivers, obtaining information on the first and second cell selection, and selection of appropriate channel to be set, according to the first and second cell selection information.
EFFECT: possible access to more than one communication system.
