FIELD: physics, communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns communication systems. To provide communication to a mobile station via wireless communication channel an Access Point Name (APN) including continuous Packet Data Serving Node (PDSN) is used. PDSN includes inactive state timer and is used to set inactive state timer to initial value and send initial value assessment to mobile station via wireless communication channel, initial value assessment being a function of initial inactive state timer value. Mobile station includes initial value assessment unit and is used to obtain initial value assessment and set inactive state timer assessment to initial value. Mobile station is also used to reset inactive state timer assessment to initial value when mobile station communicates to APN.
EFFECT: continuous wireless communication to mobile station via internet protocol.
