FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: stable trapezoid-shape section railroad tie features a widened trapezoid base to add to stability and an inversed trapezoid shape between the ties for soil and lateral bosses. The said lateral bosses feature a trapezoid cross section on one end of the tie and are arranged on the tie ends. The boss end face planes are inclined in horizontal plane, the inclination angle being equal to that of the tie side relative to the base. The lateral boss length equal the tie laying distance. The tie both ends bases and lateral bosses accommodate anti-shift right-triangle bosses, the triangle side length being equal to the tie base width.

EFFECT: higher tie stability, reduced binder material consumption in tie production.
