SUBSTANCE: method of increasing the railroad traffic safety on new track sections equipped with the automatic control and remote measuring systems consists in that a continuous coating is applied onto the entire rail side, the coating featuring the inherent absolute magnetic permeability notably higher than that of the rail material.

EFFECT: lower density of magnetic power lines, reduced amount of chipping in rail-to-wheel contact zone, higher reliability of locomotive automatic signaling circuits, reduced wear of rails and wheels.
