FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: objective is achieved by creation N reference signal matrixes of P×L size in surveillance RLS for defining air target path parameters, multiplication of each nth matrix element by relevant complex echo signal adopted in the surveillance process, obtaining resulting signal matrix by adding equivalent reference signal matrix elements by n, calculation of square magnitude of each resulting signal matrix element, defining matrix line number p0 and column number l0, at which resulting signal reaches maximum, calculation of radial and tangential target velocity by respective formulae.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of defining target path parameters at fixed time of air target surveillance and reduced air target survey time at given precision of target movement parameter estimates.
