FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: in the method of determining trajectory parameters of targets in surveillance radar stations, at the next (t+1)-th scan the centre for gating parameters of the support function is determined by extrapolating the range to the target, the radial and tangential components of its velocity vector and heading angle; the dimensions of range gating, radial and tangential velocity of the target are calculated from the results of processing signals in the previous scan.

EFFECT: smaller dimension of the support function on the next scan, which includes possible trajectory parameters of the object, which considerably reduces computational costs, increases the advantage on time spent on processing the obtained data, and enables to increase throughput of the device realising the present method.
