FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns non-ferrous metallurgy and can be used in production of argil at sulfuric acid reprocessing of argil-containing raw material. Method of argil-containing reprocessing includes its decomposition by sulfuric acid, separation of liquid and solid phases, introduction in solution ammonium salt, aquolysis of mixed solution at elevated temperature, segregation of basic sulphate aluminium salt residue, it's reprocessing by argil. In the capacity of ammonium salt it is used ammonium sulphite in solid form or in the form of water solution, which is introduced in amount of 0.5÷2 moles per 1 mole Al2O3, and aquolysis of mixed solution are implemented at temperature 125÷200°C during 0.25-2 hours.
EFFECT: reducing of aquolysis temperature and simultaneously rising of extraction ratio into basic sulfate residual.
