FIELD: processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns metal thermomechanical processing. Particularly it concerns processing of metals by pressure and can be used in cutting tool industry for receiving blanks of instrument made of rapid steel and other steels of this group ("Р6М5", "Р6М5Ф3", "10РМ5Ф3", "10Р6М5-МП", "Р6М5К5", "Р6АМ5", "Р6АМ5Ф"). For metal recovery rising, endurance rising and reducing of manufacturing process duration, instrument is heated till 800-810°C and plastic deformation is implemented by two stages at this temperature with strain rate on the first stage 10-4-10-1s-1 and with strain rate on the second stage 1·10-2-5·10-2s-1.
EFFECT: metal recovery rising, endurance rising and reducing of manufacturing process duration.
