FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed drive incorporates hydraulic cylinder arranged in the cylinder block head and housing reciprocating piston linked to the valve. The cylinder inner space accommodates hydraulic dampers incorporating a compression chamber made up of two parts and communicating with the said cylinder inner space via channels and valve. The aforesaid damper comprises the nozzles designed to force fluid flow along the piston axis or at an angle to the said axis. At that the nozzle walls are inclined relative to the drive piston circumference radius. The proposed invention includes also the method of controlling the cam travel speed.
EFFECT: adjustment of valve timing phases and changing engine over to various operating conditions.
