SUBSTANCE: cartridge (20) for purifying drinking water consists of a case (22), inlet opening (24) for letting water into the cartridge, outlet opening for letting out water from the cartridge and material for primary purification of water. Cartridge (20) for purifying water can have material for primary purification of water, which is held inside the hollow medullary region of the material for primary purification by a permeable holder, which covers the outlet opening. The primary purification material and secondary purification material are directly linked, and the above mentioned holder is in direct contact with the material for secondary purification and projects into it by a length of at least 2 mm. Water gets into the cartridge through the inlet opening, radially enters the primary purification material and radially flows through it, and then later at least part of the water radially enters the secondary purification material, flows along its axis and comes out of the cartridge through the outlet opening.

EFFECT: higher quality of purifying drinking water.
