FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of treatment of various size items coming from rolling mill includes forming of rod, dimensions of which are in first range, then spirals of rings having first diameter, then alternate forming of rod, dimensions of which are in second range and exceed the biggest size of first range, then spirals of rings of second diameter bigger, than said first diameter. Spirals of rings are placed on a conveyor for transporting them to the point of deforming whereat they are stacked into bales. A laying coiler has the first and the second self-replacing rolled stock guidance devices with the first and the second outgoing sections having different configurations for forming rings of the first and the second diameter.
EFFECT: there is facilitated forming of bales of big sizes out of long length items and of bales of common size out of items of small size.
