FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: coil-like pipe (28) relates to rolling and is intended for rolling mill. Pipe has inlet end, aligned with axis of rotation of pipe for receiving a hot-rolled product (P) and curved section, leading to outlet end, related radially from said axis. Curved section forms a guide line configured to form a hot-rolled product (P) in spiral annular configuration. Higher wear resistance of pipe with a smaller diameter is ensured due to that pipe (28) contains a tubular metal wall (34), having outer and inner surfaces enclosing hot-rolled product (P) for movement along guide line, wherein at least one of inner and outer surfaces of tubular metal wall (34) comprises a wear-resistant borated layer (36).
EFFECT: parameters of borated layer are regulated.
