FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to the method of forming a strong wear resistant coating on friction surfaces of friction assemblies and mechanisms. There is mechanical activation of ground mixture of minerals, magnetic separation with 0.001-0.1 mcm dispersity and dispergation is carried using ultrasound in structured oil. About 20% of the particles are reduced to nano size. The obtained solid lubricant composition is added to a lubricant and the lubricant is put onto the friction surfaces with subsequent grinding until a protective coating of damask steel is formed. The mixture of minerals contains the following in wt %: serpentine 78.1-82.5, olivinite 3.5-4.5, amphibole 2.2-4.1, tremolite 2.4-2.5, nephrite 0.7-0.8, goethite 2.5-2.8, rare earth metals 2.3-2.5, surface active substance 1.0-2.5, catalyst 1.5-2.5.
EFFECT: increased wear resistance of the whole components of the friction assembly when the machine is being used.
