FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of water neutralisation and relates to biocidal brome-containing composition in solid state, which is obtained by removal of water from water solution or suspension of product obtained in water from (A) (i) brome chloride, (ii) mixture of brome chloride and brome, (iii) brome and chlorine with molar ratio Br2 to Cl2, equal at least 1, or (iv) brome chloride, brome and chlorine in such ratio, that total molar ratio Br2 to Cl2 is equal at least 1; and (B) (i) alkali metal salt of sulfamic acid and/or sulfamic acid and (ii) alkali metal hydroxide, where pH value of said water solution or suspension is equal at least 7 and atom ratio of nitrogen to active brome from (A) and (B) constitutes more than 0.93, and where said composition is obtained by dispersion drying of water solution or suspension, said composition being in form of powder or finely crashed particles. Also described is method of biocidal brome-containing composition in solid state.

EFFECT: increased stability; long preservation of biocidal properties.
