FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: vacuum cleaner dust head coupled with the suck-in extension pipe jointed to the main casing sucks in loose particles by suck-in force generated in the said main casing. The proposed dust head comprises a lower casing with a dust intake an upper casing jointed to the lower one to make it close and an adapter jointed to the said extension tube. The aforesaid adapter comprises the first part made integral with the said lower casing and the second part made integral with the upper casing and attached to the adapter first part to make, in fact, a pipe shape. An air flow rate regulator is arranged nearby the aforesaid adapter to adjust the volume of air coming through the dust inlet and the suck-force transferred to the aforesaid inlet. The aforesaid air flow rate regulator comprises minor orifices arranged nearby the adapted and a holder flexibly enveloping the adapter first and second parts to joint them together and flexibly attached to the adapter outer surface to allow selective opening or closing the aforesaid orifices in compliance with the holder position. The holder can be turned through along the adapter outer surface.
EFFECT: easier assembly and disassembly of upper and lower casings, optimum sizes of orifices for every dust head, as well as optimum sizes and shape of dust head elements.
