FIELD: performing sea search work. SUBSTANCE: underwater towing device has depressor and cargo-carrying rope reinforced with fairings which are interconnected by means of coupling unit. Fairings of section adjoining the depressor are provided with lugs secured on their tail portions and mounted symmetrically relative to the fairing axes. Profiled projection is made on one of end sides of fairings which is received by recess engageable in shape with this projection and provided on other end side. Coupling units are made in form of crossing clamps articulated with fairings. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 8 dwg
