SUBSTANCE: flow meter contains a measuring pipe, through which, while working, flows a multiphase medium, an exciter for bending vibrations of the pipe, a sensing device for producing measuring signals (s1, s2) of the vibration of the pipe. The control of the exciter of the electric block develops the measuring signals (s1, s2) derived from the first intermediate value (X'm) of the mass flow meter, and the triggering device for the stimulation of current (iexc). On the basis of current (iexc) stimulation and/or a part of the current (iexc) of stimulation produce the second intermediate value (X2), correspondingly the vibration damping of the measuring pipe, depending on the apparent viscosity and/or the creation of viscosity on the density of the flowing medium. Using the value (X2) and the preliminarily gotten or during the work value (Xη) of viscosity, corresponding to the viscosity of the flowing medium and/or the reference viscosity, is developed a correcting value (XK) for the intermediate value (X'm). By the values (X'm) and (XK) the electric block derives the exact value (Xm) of the mass flow.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of measuring a heterogeneous medium.
