FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: hydroacoustic coating is a plate moulded from rubber-like material, containing air bubbles with a shape for which the cross section area increases in the direction of the inner-mounting surface of the plate. The indicated plate is made with a moulded-in through groove with a mainly rectangular section, on the side of the mounting surface of the plate, oriented along one of the sides of the plate and put in the middle of the mounting surface with the edges of the groove at a distance from the corresponding edges of the plate of not less than 0.2 of its width, and with depth equal to 0.15-0.7 of its thickness. The coefficient of perforation of the layer of rubber-like material on top of the groove is 1.0-0.4 times the coefficient of perforation of the indicated part of the plate outside the groove. Air bubbles on top of the groove are closed on the side of the groove by a layer of monolithic rubber-like material.
EFFECT: improvement of acoustic and operational properties when putting coating in the region of external cable connections and reduced manufacturing expenses.
