FIELD: electricity; transportation.

SUBSTANCE: lowered position indicator of electric locomotive current collector is designed for lowered position autodetection of electric locomotive current collector and elimination of locomotive crew's visual inspection method of collector position. Current collector lowered position indicator consists of transforming part (position switch) fixed under electric locomotive head with metal bar, and high-voltage part located on electric locomotive head. High-voltage part of indicator includes such major elements as high-voltage ceramic insulator, insulation rod, and coil spring. Operation of indicator transforming part provides that electric locomotive control system receives information on lowered position of current collector.

EFFECT: comfort environment of electric locomotive operation.
