AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM FOR LOCOMOTIVE OPERATOR CAB Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC B61D27/00

Abstract RU 2392144 C1

FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: proposed system comprises air conditioner connected via connector assembly terminals to three-phase AC voltage source of the locomotive, calorifers representing heating elements and electrically-driven blowers, electric heaters, flat heating panels with their heating elements connected to aforesaid three-phase AC voltage source of the locomotive via automatic circuit breakers and power terminals of connector assembly. Aforesaid connector represents three-pole device. Proposed system incorporates controlled three-phase rectifiers, control cab entrance thermal curtain, voltage controller, microprocessor unit and temperature setting board. Input channels of three-phase rectifiers are connected to three-phase power supply via connector assembly power terminals. Heating elements of thermal curtain, calorifers, electric heaters and flat heating panels are connected to output channels of three-phase rectifiers via two-pole automatic circuit breaker terminals. Two-pole automatic circuit breakers represent a structure made up of remote control module with two one-pole circuit breakers connected therewith. Three-phase rectifier control channels are connected to voltage controller. Temperature pickup, humidity pickup, two-pole automatic circuit breaker interlocking contacts, blower drive motors, solenoids, three-pole contactor interlocking terminals and temperature setting board are connected to microprocessor unit. The latter is electrically connected with voltage controller and, via interface channel, with locomotive control system.

EFFECT: higher efficiency.
