FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: method consists of stages, on which: in the first mobile station position fixing centre (SMLC) data is requested on the location of a mobile station; the above mentioned data request is presented to the first server of the base station (BSS), using communication protocol with packet switching, and motivation of the first BSS to send the above mentioned data request on location of a mobile station to SGSN, using a communication protocol with packet switching; the request is sent through SGSN to a second BSS using communication protocol with packet switching, and the second BSS sends the request to the second SMLC, which determines whether requested information on the location of a mobile station is accessible from a device for determining the location of a mobile station (LMU); a reply is received on the data request. The reply is generated by the second SMLC.

EFFECT: provision for communication between two centres for determining location of a mobile station in a mode with packet switching.
