FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: contaminated water flow with volume expenditure from approximately 1 to approximately 1000 m3/h is supplied through electrolysis zone, said flow conductivity being from approximately 0.0001 to approximately 100 Cm/m. Electrolysis of said water flow is carried out in said electrolysis zone, which is determined with one pair of electrodes, allowing to carry out purification from microorganisms, said one pair of electrodes contains anode and cathode without separating element and is located throughout the area of transverse section of electrolytic cell, and said water flow is directed practically perpendicularly through said pair of electrodes with simultaneous bringing voltage to said anode and cathode and supplying constant current to said anode and cathode. Purified water flow is removed from electrolysis zone. Invention also relates to electrolytic cell, in which said process can be carried out, and to use of said electrolytic cell.
EFFECT: even treatment of the whole flow of contaminated water, eliminating necessity to add chemicals, increasing degree of treated water flow purification.
