FIELD: water and air purification technology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of removing chloride from waste water from a fertilizer production enterprise, a fertilizer production company and use of electrolysis for chloride removal. Method comprises directing chloride-containing waste water from a fertilizer production plant to an electrochemical cell and removing chloride from waste water, released in form of gaseous chlorine, by electrolysis. Chloride-containing waste water generated by the plant is in fluid communication with an electrochemical cell having an anode and a cathode. Components of the electrochemical cell are configured to control extraction of gaseous chlorine so that it can be separated from fluid flows. Said electrochemical cell is connected in fluid communication with fertilizer production enterprise so as to recycle waste water back to fertilizer production enterprise.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of chloride concentration, which allows treated waste water to be safely recycled back to fertilizer production enterprise.
