FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: modified carrier is obtained by impregnation of preliminary formed carrier from aluminium alfa-oxide, which was subjected to burning and, optionally, other types of processing with preliminary formation by one modifier - alkali metal hydsroxide, optionally drying of said impregnated carrier, burning of said impregnated and optionally dried carrier and washing of said burned carrier. Catalyst is obtained by application of silver catalytic material on dried said modified carrier. Especially suitable alkali metal hydroxide is sodium hydroxide.
EFFECT: improved stability with acceptable efficiency.
