FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: method is proposed to assess endogenous fire risk during underground development of coal beds, including measurement of natural electromagnetic radiation from adjacent mines with identification of abnormal zones, using the methods of electric survey with definition of the current and background difference of potentials and definition of the coal temperature t in the abnormal zone. At the same time they additionally determine relative resistance of moisture-saturated rock Pr, the total porosity of coal Kp, structural index of coal wettability m, and calculation of temperature is carried out with account of texture features and composition of the rock with application of the coefficient Ar.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of assessment of endogenous fire risk of a coal-rock massif.
