FIELD: technological processes; electricity.
SUBSTANCE: local area of material processing is simultaneously affected with pulse coherent and polychromatic radiation. In the process of laser-light welding of steel during pauses between welding pulses additional heating is carried out in the area of welded joint up to the temperature of 115-300°C due to laser beam scanning along direction of its movement. Beams of polychromatic radiator are passed through outlet window made of sapphire.
EFFECT: higher quality of welded joint and reduction of power inputs in welding.
